What is the TechNurses Africa Summit?
The TechNurses Africa Summit is a 2-day virtual event focusing on the integration of digital technology and innovation in African nursing.
The cross-cultural tech and innovation summit will connect global nursing, healthcare, tech and innovation leaders with nurses and midwives of African descent to explore how digital technology innovation can empower each African nurse, and transform the nursing and midwifery landscape in Africa.
When and where will the summit take place?
The summit will be held virtually, allowing participants from all over the world to join on the first day. The second day will involve break out rooms, networking and mentoring sessions for VIP candidates only.
The summit is scheduled for Wednesday November 6th – Thursday November 7th, 2024. So far, over 600 nurses from across Cameroon, Ghana, Uganda, Nigeria, Gambia, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Malawi, Zambia, Cyprus, Turkey, Canada, U.S.A, United Kingdom and Bangladesh have pre-registered to attend the event.
Who can attend the summit?
This summit is open to all African nursing and midwifery professionals residing in Africa and in the diaspora. It is also open to non-African nursing and midwifery professionals from the United Kingdom, the North and South Americas, Europe, Australia, Asia and the Cerebeans.
The event will host nursing and midwifery students, nurse clinicians, nurse educators, nurses scientists and researchers, nurses leaders, nurse politicians and policy makers, nurses entrepreneurs and innovators, plus anyone interested in the future of nursing and healthcare innovation in Africa.
Additionally, healthcare professionals, tech experts and investors in the fields of innovation who are passionate about networking and collaborating with nurses will also attend.
I am a student nurse midwife, can I attend the summit?
Interestingly, the summit has a special session for student nurses and midwives on its first day. The session will host the Student Nurses Innovation Challenge, a competition that showcases the best of student nurses innovators in Africa. The event is designed to provide valuable insights, professional development, and cross-cultural networking opportunities for student nurses and midwives across Africa.

Will I receive a certificate of attendance and participation?
Sorry. Not all participants will get a certificate. Yes, ONLY VIP attendees will receive co-branded digital certifications from TechNurses Africa and SONSIEL.
